What clothes should I wear?

Shoes or boots with a slight heel is a must, no trainers or flat soles permitted. Jodhpurs or breeches are the most comfortable but soft jogging bottoms or thick leggings will be fine. A riding hat up to the latest safety standard, see safety for more info.

At what age can you start riding?

Our lead rein lesson can be started from age 4, this is for health and safety as well as insurance reasons. You are required to join in and lead them , this gives the children added confidence and helps keep you fit!

What if it rains?

Unless there’s severe thunder and lightning, we will endeavour to continue riding. As you can imaging with the rain that falls in our country we would never ride if that was enough to stop us! Once you get in the saddle you won’t worry too much!

Can I go straight in the park?

For safety, unless you ride regularly with us, we would assess you in the school prior to hacking. If we are happy you will be safe and comfortable, the rest of your lesson or the next lesson can be spent in the park.

How do I book or cancel my lessons?

This is a very simple process that be done either in person or over the phone. If you don’t manage to get through for any reason please leave us a message. Please note that cancellations are not accepted over Facebook! Please see Booking/Cancelling for more details.

What is the maximum weight to ride?

Our current maximum weight to ride is 12st.
